In her first interview after the evection, she said she’s overwhelmed by the support she got from Ethiopians all over the world. She also said she’s a bit disappointed by the misconception of her deeds during the show.
According her, the intimate part on the show wasn’t for the prize of the show, rather it was done on the spur of the moment that came out of her love for the Sierra Leonean man, Bolt who still in the Big Brother House fighting to be the winner.

Talking about the hush criticism thrown at her, Betty said, “ I’m not that much bothered by that. You know people are entitled to their opinion. People are free to say whatever they want to say. I’m a confident person and live life with grace, a sense of adventure, and an intact moral compass”
Betty admitted that she didn’t read and heard all the comments given about her act in the show.
When asked whether she talked her Mother, who flatly denied the alleged sexual act of her daughter in a radio interview, Betty said she talked and explained what actually happened in the show to her mom whom she said, “love and miss dearly”.
Thinking of her next career move and life, Betty said, “Life led me to this road and allowed me to meet new people and learn new things. I’ve got enough experience as well as discovering myself and the love of my life, Bolt. I wait here till he comes out as a winner then we’ll decide our next move together.”
